I know there are some notepads that divers use but I was more hoping for something specifically for the shower that I could maybe stick to the wall like a waterproof whiteboard maybe? I’ve had no success searching online unfortunately.
You could try remembering things. Might be good practice.
I mean, we’re not exactly talking about a dream upon waking here…and you can remember those too with practice.
My younger brother has afriends that is a Brazilian math wizard. He does his best work in the shower. He writes his thoughts on the steam in the shower glass and has a water proof camera nearby to take pictures before they vanish.
Get a smart speaker or use your phone to take voice notes
Shower faster? How long are you in the shower to have time to develop good ideas and have time to forget them?
I would recommend not doing that. The shower is for you the place to let your mind wander. If you want to capture that you will stress yourself and your last place where your mind was free will be gone.
This is not true for everybody. Consider offering your view as an alternative perspective OP should consider, instead of presenting it as fact.
Where do I state it as a fact? No it is just a subjective recommendation.
Where do I state it as a fact?
Probably when you use “is” and “will”
Which is exactly why he wants to capture the thoughts.
Not everyone is like you, don’t assume they approach the shower the way you do.
I’ve solved long-standing technical work problems in the shower.
I don’t think they are saying that you can’t solve problems in the shower, but that this meditative thought process is limited in the first place by an intentional work mentality.
If you can’t remember an idea while taking a shower, see a neurologist.
In your place I’d be tempted to notice the negative reaction this comment got (the most in this thread by far) and see it as an invitation to widen your understanding of neurodivergence. A lot of neurodivergent people struggle with feelings of being “broken” that they may have experienced for a whole lifetime. It’s only very recently that a global conversation about neurodivergence based on understanding rather than shaming has started to happen. Your comment, perhaps unwittingly, hit a nerve. Ironically, it also potentially displayed markers for neurodivergence, in the sense that you weren’t able to anticipate the feelings it would manifest. If you are “one of us” I hope you have a helpful journey of discovery ahead of you and people who can support you through it 🙂
If that doesn’t work, see a plumber.
