Russia's FSB claims to have foiled a Ukrainian and British intelligence operation to recruit a Russian pilot to steal a MiG-31 fighter jet armed with a Kinzhal hypersonic missile. The alleged plot aimed to fly the aircraft to a NATO air base in Romania, where it could have been intercepted. The FSB described the operation as a "large-scale provocation."
