Children in the Gaza Strip are facing a lethal, hidden threat from the remnants of war, including unexploded ordnance and devices intentionally disguised as toys, according to Gaza’s Director General of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Muneer Alboursh.

Alboursh issued a powerful condemnation of the practice, stating that the deliberate placement of these devices poses an acute and ongoing danger to the youngest residents of the territory.

According to the Ministry of Health, items such as dolls, teddy bears, and colorful balls are being used to lure and injure children.

“When a child reaches for the ‘pretty toy,’ the horrific truth explodes in their face,” he wrote.

Occasionally I come across a headline that makes me start crying. This is one of them.

Well luckily this is a fake propoganda article. That never happened.

Both sides are trying to make each other look as bad as possible. Happens in every conflict.

I believe it when I see reuters or AP on this.

You guys always get so mad instead of realizing things aren’t as simple as good vs evil.

Here’s a quote from Wikipedia about the group that put out this article:

Roya TV is strongly anti-Zionist and, unlike the Jordanian government, does not recognize Israel as a real country. In written pieces, the network often puts Israel’s name in quotation marks, or refers to the entire country as “occupied Palestine”.

Unless there are alternate sources that verify the authenticity of this story, it should be assumed to be propaganda. They even do the quotation marks thing in this very headline.

…and they’re right to do so? The land didn’t stop being Palestine just because a bunch of Western-backed Zionists decided to occupy it and commit genocide against the natives.

That’s irrelevant to the fact that Israel is a real country with a government, citizens, and international recognition. Your argument applies equally to refusing to recognize the validity or existence of the United States of America, which should show you how ridiculous it is.

I believe that Israel soldiers are perfectly capable of this atrocities, as they have shown in the past and also reported by several humanitary organisations. But we have to take this news with a grain of salt, since there is no other news that confirms it.

The source is the Gazan health ministry. They are so careful on what information they publish that they have been massively underreporting the death count of Israel’s atrocities. Very weird to put their data into question like this.
