Any species capable of trivializing the distance between us and them would also find it comically easy to remain completely undetected.
If they were here and wanted us to know, we’d know. They’re not going to play ‘just the tip’ with us and be cryptic or hard to get.
I am extraordinarily skeptical that they’d come all this way and bungle the covert surveillance this bad.
