Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is it common for family members to spy on each other's sexual behavior to find evidence of "degeneracy"? Or did I grow up in hell?
11·5 days agoYeah not a single thing there is normal. You grew up in an unhinged household.

Technology@lemmy.world•I Wrote Task Manager — 30 Years Later, the Secrets You Never KnewEnglish
1192·7 days agoI enjoy this guys videos but he says “I wrote task manager” way to much. We get it bro you wrote task manager save some pussy for the rest of us.
TVs are all 4k though. 1080p looks like shit on 4k screen.
This is so sick. I wish the console was more powerful and didnt rely on fsr for 4k preformance. I’d love to get my hands on that vr headset.
Dont listen to the other poster. This IS a message from God directly telling you to get Goth Clussy now! Dont wait this offer won’t last forever.
Yes and it counts towards your 5 fruit a day to keep the doctor away.
This is kind of an info dump and I havent fully gone through to verify everything but this is a guide from a trusted ytber explaining step by step how he setup and managed his self hosting environment.
For a more bite sized entry into self hosting just join the community (like you are now) and learn about the different services people are hosting and when one sounds good then look into how to set it up and ask questions along the way.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•Um, actually, Neville Chamberlain didn't "cave" to Hitler, he actually got a lot out of the deal.
13·9 days agoCan you remind me how many leftists there were “fighting back” during the night of the long knives?
Also can you please remind me if socialism was popular with Germany workers also how many people supported the social democratic party.
Also please remind me of the number of citizens arrested for “resistance activities” the number of those that were communist or socialist and for good measure the population size of Germany at the time.
And please advise what the population of the USSR was at the time.

04·10 days agoA very small minority of them did probably less than 1%. It is insignificant when compared with the amount of leftists that fully sided with them.

03·10 days agoLeftists were on Hitlers side.
Or we could have politicians that do their jobs. Socialism doesnt fix any of these issues.
Companies will act just as degenerate when all their employees depend on its success and if you’re one of the socialism except state controlled thats even worse because you put all your eggs in that basket and if the government is bad you’re fucked. Look at what trump is doing as an example of how that could go.

Linux@programming.dev•rolflobker/recall-for-linux: Bring Microsoft Recall to Linux!
1·22 days agoIts pretty common knowledge so I dont feel like I need to cite battery life comparison videos.
Laptop manufacturers do a lot at the driver level to optimise battery life. In linux most laptops are using 3rd party drivers with very few having vendor support. This plus windows having a more mature power saving system. To top it off CPU sleep states dont work as well as on windows because vendor did not put the effort in.
Theoretical linux could have better battery life if the manufacturer supported its drivers we see this with the legion go s windows vs linux and the steamdeck windows vs linux.

Linux@programming.dev•rolflobker/recall-for-linux: Bring Microsoft Recall to Linux!
1·22 days agoThe funniest thing was the hacker news thread where some people were so AI and corp brained they were saying hey now maybe this could be a great idea.
Bro screenshotting your desktop and running an llm over everything will never be a good idea or feature that outweighs the cost. Linux battery life is bad enough without an llm I’m the back 24/7
Yes thats how language works? The word isnt racist outside the racist context.

Its because the far left ml types know she will offer people good policy that improves peoples lives. They want things to be as bad as possible so they can have people desperate.
