And the funny thing is that he only says Bubba isn’t who we think he is — but he doesn’t say that ‘blowing’ was meant in any non-literal way. He could’ve easily claimed that ‘blowing’ was meant as some kind of political subservience and that the ‘photo’ was just a joking reference to proof or leverage. Like using those words in a playful, provocative way.

Yess, everything after was horseshit
I hate them all 😶
It is cringe 😄
Simple feel good comedy is just a distraction from reality. Even worse, with their semi fantasy “this is how real world is” style, they are actually hurting society making people think they are living in this fantasy society.
Go for Silo, severance and Invasion. Those shows offer way more reality based society even while being full-on fantasy.
It is strange to me, that sidewalks aren’t public property and are managed (and cleaned) like the streets in other countries 😄

1·4 days agoMonarchy only works because every competitor who tries to change something has failed.
Monarchies would as well not have been established, if they where not making better services than competitors, and when they reached power the got out of control.
Same will happen to steam, it is just how things are, it is just a matter of time, until centralised power gets abused.
Our legal framework does not protect us from this, most monopolies are not illegal in current law.
The current state of capitalism is that companies try to get good brand recognition to get support and establish their monopol position, ant then, the enshitification starts slowly.
Back to the monarchy similarity: Most monarchs had great support at the beginning or even for generations until that power gets abused.
If we have no tools against an entity that can abuse power, we have to establish those tools while we don’t need them, or it gets very hard to do something against it when it happens.

1·5 days agoBut it is exactly the same as with monarchies:
There are some good ones, until there is one evil, and then you can’t do really something against it except whining.
Allowing monopolies is like allowing a dictator to rule in my eyes.

Yet, unlike other sectors yet.
High chances that this changes. Monopolies are built friendly and get enshitificated later, one baby step at a time.
Market will get harder and harder to join as studios optimise their processes for releases on steam and users get even more trained Games -> Steam.
Especially when Steam manages to kill PS and Xbox, where I see big potential that this happens.

Yes, this an important point as well that I forgot to mention
Management can only do this, if the mentality of a society is, that workers work against each other rather than with each other. The fear that they easily find someone doing your work better or cheaper.
They don’t. Because if they did, they already would have. And that workers think that they are easy exchangeable, not seeing that onboarding a new guy costs the management efficiency, that what you learn while working makes you more efficient and makes you worth earning more.
Depends on the company… when you don’t have stupid management, they know that you can work faster because of your know how of processes in place at the company, that relearning that stuff to a new guy costs more money than pay you more salary.
That is way, in my country, it is normal that salaries go up the longer you stay and the older you get.
I guess our social structures helped to get here, like workers right laws and a unemployed “insurance” where you can register as soon as you hear that you get fired (you have multiple month (depending on how long you already worked at that employer) until the work contract is nullified). You will get about 80% in salary, but you have to proof that you are searching for a new job and you have to take one if you get one. Not doing that results in days without money from that “insurance”.
So this takes the pressure from the workers on how they talk with employers depending their salary.
I have a max speed enforcer built in my car, i always drive pedal down like in mario kart don’t need speedometer… Maybe I am 10% 🧐
Tuchscreen cars normally support android auto or apple carplay and have a siri/alexe/whazever button on the wheel
Texting, phoning no problem, eyes on the road
