Snow day… a concept unfamiliar to a Norwegian. I can’t remember ever not going to school because of snow. I do remember we were allowed to stay home if the temperature dipped below -25 centigrade, though.


I thought that read “ANAL06” for a second, and I giggled.
Edit: In Norwegian 6 is pronounced the exact same as sex.


No tape, it was essentially just a high density/capacity floppy drive. Unfortunately for iomega it wasn’t high density enough to compete with CD-R as the price of burners and media dropped.
I only know for certain it’s by law in Norway, and I suppose I just assumed it was for other European countries, too, since a shared bathroom is rarely to be seen.
First time I saw that sign I was baffled, as in most other countries I’ve been to it’s illegal for employees to use the same facilities as guests. Then I got a bit grossed out thinking of the fact that employees apparently need to be reminded to wash their hands.
