I think this is another scheme to manipulate the stocks, some people will buy low and know when to sell, just before some staged drama by the administration to raise the prices suddenly
Long term computer programmer, making my own library. American based. Far left politically. Promotes use of paper ballots. Follows news about environmental collapse, political corruption in my country, human rights, science and tech.

There has been a grassroots movement to stop corruption and it has made progress. The war has hampered this effort.

Which propaganda? The American effort to make the corruption seem less so; the people who want to end a horrible war and will try anything to stop it; or the people who sympathize with Russia?
Driven by our mission of “shaping the global future together,” the Atlantic Council is a nonpartisan organization that galvanizes US leadership and engagement in the world, in partnership with allies and partners, to shape solutions to global challenges.
Ukraine has a corruption issue, it was what drove the Ukrainian revolution a decade ago. And while great strides were made to eliminate some of it, it’s still an huge and important issue that is separate from the war

It’s almost like Mozilla had dementia and forgot who it was, while doing things earlier Mozilla would find hard to watch

I’m reasonably sure the article was AI generated then edited by a human into some art that has nothing to do with programming

Software patents… under some circumstances this would cripple many small USA companies, or legalize protection rackets where they must pay money

English removed too many nice things, all in the name of standardization and printing efficiency.

That is very true

And I’m glad you shared it; I just never can see an article without using an archive
At the time it filled a hole in technology: it was better than bash scripts. It’s also an ancestor programming language, influencing dozens of other technologies, even if only to avoid the missteps.
All that stuff we see as wrong today was new and shiny earlier, with great promise. Perl had to exist to inspire future programmers to never do that again. And quite a few things that were nice was made from it
It really was not that bad as a language, though. If you like lots of two character global variables with the first character always being a punctuation mark

I always get a paywall with this newspaper
Perl was the third computer language I learned, after basic and pascal. I will always have fun thinking of the bar hopping and being on drugs. Wait…
I get so confused about what scrambled my brain. Are there 12 step programs for Perl ?

It does not expel or kill most of the survivors.

Israel is backed by the United States in the UN. An uncooperative Israel can effectively block this.
Alternatively it could devolve into something truly horrific, as you suspect. And the other members of the security council will deeply regret their votes.

The thugs never really did mention the new checks to prevent fraud, did they?

“By clicking the ok button to activate this (critically important) site, you agree to allow us to make suggestions to the auto AI sales on your behalf”

I was imagining this not as an isolated event but a statistically small failure doing normal business practices of the future.
And chargeback against Google or Microsoft causes account cancellation.
What you said makes sense for this year.

My imagination thinks that in an AI shopping future, anyone who reads an article similar to this automatically buys a Micky Mouse plushie.
Did not want to ? That easy to fix: please go to your settings to turn off auto-shopping. Refunds work too, just ship it back

I agree with mastodon, even though eventually Texas will enact similar legislation forcing me to use a vpn to read it
