That is absolutely not true. You took a big step today and while you didn’t achieve what you had hoped to achieve it doesn’t mean you achieved nothing. You proved to yourself that you are capable of reaching out for help. Tomorrow you can do it again. One call a day until you find someone who can help you. Try not to miss a day but if you do its OK. No one is perfect. Just try to make a call the next day.
I get that making phone calls sucks. Are there email addresses for potential therapists you can reach out to? Maybe sending emails until you find one that says yes will be easier? You can write what you want to say once and just copy and paste it the rest of the time.
