In response to the speculation, a spokesperson for Vance told People that Usha is “a mother of three young children, who does a lot of dishes, gives lots of baths, and forgets her ring sometimes.”
Right, the wife of the VP does dishes and cares for kids.
Is that for real? “Yes, she’s a woman who knows her place, and that place is in the kitchen and at home with children”
I mean… They’re Republicans, so that’s sort of a given. Frankly, it’s a small surprise that she’s allowed to speak for herself at all, so far she really hasn’t. I assume that’s how JD likes to keep it, “seen, but not heard.”

Thats not even a joke or hyperbole… that is exactly how at least half of Republicans think, and have always thought, for my entire life.
Come on, everyone knows that women are way too airheaded to remember their wedding rings. How they are allowed to drive and vote is beyond me!

Huh, I always take it off when I shower or wash more than a couple dishes. I actually don’t think I’ve been swimming or hand-washed my car since I started wearing it, but I’d probably take it off then too. If my hands are soaking wet, it can work its way off.
No idea why you’d take it off for any of the others. Maybe certain kinds of hand tools? Simple bands are usually fine even in professional kitchens. I’ll admit I got a little worried when I got an induction stove, but my ring has yet to burn me while cooking.

Any kind of rotary tool/machine really. If your ring gets grabbed by any spinning equipment it can pull you into the machine or deglove your finger.

Agreed, but I don’t really think of any power tool when I think of “hand tools”. That’s like hammers and screwdrivers and wrenches and stuff.
Drills, dremels, anything with a motor is a “power tool” to me. I take my ring off whenever I work with a power tool it could possibly get caught on.
